Unable to use Face ID

I am a new customer to Verizon (Fios) and I have the My Verizon App.  It does not allow me to use Face ID to access the app and I have to constantly log onto it.  I have tried all the troubleshooting techniques that were suggested (deleting/redownloading the app).   My phone settings allow all my other apps that utilize Face ID to access them, and this is the ONLY one I'm having issues with, so it's definitely not my phone.

Based on what I've learned thus far, this seems to be a recurring or long time issue.  Please advise.
