So we've had legit the worst experience switching to Verizon. First they shipped my step daughters phone to us instead of her, 3 states away mind you, my husband confirmed over the phone it was being shipped to her. Showed up to us and luckily we were moving back to that state 2 days after it showed up (also took forever to ship)
Then we traded in her old phone because it was going to cover the new one. Months went by, husband calls and says they did the promotion as an early upgrade....what? For a new customer....interesting....so this whole thing took him about an hour on the phone to figure out, she also let us know that when we moved there was a promotion going on for $200 per line so we'd be getting $600 in gift cards, and they would be emailed in 8-10 days. He asked about that since he's worked in the industry for over a decade and normally they take months by mail.
She reassured him they'd be emailed in 8-10 days.
It's been over 2 weeks now and still nothing. He called a few days ago, agent apologized gave us a credit for our bill and escalated it. Still nothing. Just hasn't been the greatest experience. We have service drops constantly, and this whole thing has been a mess switching over.
Anyone else had this problem. I've been reading on here there's some website you have to go to to claim them but we were never told this. Just that they'd show up in email?
To help this all happened over the phone. We got 2 phones at a best buy and the other one we ordered online over the phone later.
Promotion was mentioned to us over the phone while figuring out the trade in snafu.
Had the same issues Verizon did not do a thing went to a Verizon authorized retailer so they claim. They cannot get involved. Cannot wait till contract is over.
