55 + Plan Taken Away Verizon No Help to get it back

Verizon still will not switch my plan back to 55+ Unlimited for 2 lines $80. I have been calling in since they said I could add my student discount to get an extra $25 off a month which was a lie. My bill has been $45 higher for 2 months because they do not know how to fix it. Yesterday they said they will file paperwork to get the student discount taken off this is the 4th time they said that still nothing has been done. I am currently not working and cannot afford this increase all because verizon misinformed me. I filed a complaint to the BBB and FCC as I need a solution and some credits as this could all have been avoided if verizon would of known you cannot stack the discount with the 55 plus plan. They cannot give me a time frame when this will be fixed it happened on March 2nd 2021. I was alerted on my sms and email change of service and I owed $40 to be paid immediately. After several calls and chats to verizon nothing has been done. I am looking to see if there is a better deal for service somewhere else as verizon will not fix their mess up.

The 55+ unlimited plan doesn't qualify for additional discounts besides the autopay and paperless billing discount. See item 10 in the FAQs linked below.

I know that now but Verizon added it not knowing I would lose my 55 plus plan and cause a $55 increase on my bill. I am getting 0 help with getting a solution as this could of been avoided if the verizon rep knew that this could not be added with the 55 plus plan. Do you have a solution?

Which plan are you paying now? Does it qualify for adding the student discount?

I am on the start unlimited plan with a $25 student discount $125 a month. Compared to the 55 plus plan for $80 that I should be on. I am very frustrated Verizon cannot reverse their error and get back my 55 plus plan.

Is the $125 a month before or after taxes? Does that include any device payment agreements with it?

The Start Unlimited Plan with two lines would be $70 each for line one and two for a total of $140 per month. Minus the $25 student discount gets you to $115. This is the total amount before adding taxes, regulatory fees, and any device payment agreements. This is also without the autopay and paperless billing discount if you pay with a bank account, checking account, debit card, or Verizon Credit card.

If you have the autopay and paperless billing discount, it would be $60 each for the two lines minus the $25 student discount for a total of $95 per month before taxes, regulatory fees, and any device payment agreements.

My plan shows $125 with taxes fees and discounts start unlimited for 2 lines. The last 2 bills were increased due to adding the student discount and throwing me off my $80 a month for 2 lines 55 plus plan. I know what plans are out there I have been just waiting patiently to get my plan straightened out. Verizon Executive relations is now envolved hoping for a resolution soon.

It seems like you have been through a lot. This does not sound right at all. I am a consumer myself so I understand wanting to know what happened with my plan and why it changed. I would like to investigate this for you. I have sent you a private message. AmberF_VZW

I would appreciate this looked into. I have called several times and wasted my time as nothing has been done to fix this issue. All I am asking for is a 55 plus unlimited for 2 lines  for $80. My new bill is coming out anyday on the wrong plan that i cannot change myself $55 higher per month which I cannot afford. This is not fair all because a verizon rep said i could stack student discount and 55 plus and I am paying for it and verizon is doing zero to correct their mistake at my exspense.

THIS IS NOT A RESOLUTION AND IS MORE MISINFORMATION FROM VERIZON ONCE AGAIN! We want to ensure you get the assistance you need removing your discount so that you can switch your plan, Lesa. Upon reviewingthe account we see that your discount is still verified on the account preventinga plan change to your old plan. You will need to speak with a specialist in our Discount Validation center to have this discount removed. They can be reached at 800-890-8007 Hours of Operation Mon-Sat 8:00AM - 12:00AM ET Sun 8:00AM - 12:00AM ET

I called this number they cannot remove the student discount from my account they only help customers get their discount. I called Customer Service again to have them ask me to wait again to get this straightened out. They filed an escalation to get my plan back as Verizon Misinformed me that I could have both discounts. This is clearly a Verizon mess up and should be addresses ASAP as I have lost a $50 a month Credit going on 3 months Billing in April. I am very disappointed how Verizon has done nothing so far to fix this more waiting for nothing. I will give this another week as I cannot afford the new plan and may switch services to T-Mobile's 55 Plus Unlimited Plan for $70 a month as I cannot get a proper resolution to this issue.
