I am not an employee of Verizon Wireless. Never have been.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
Well, after another call and an hour long chat, still no promotion credit.
This makes a minimum of 4 "promises" that the switch had been thrown and the credit "will appear on the next statement."
I'm filing a fraud complaint with my State's Attorney General's Office today. Everyone should do this. Your State's Attorney General has a fraud complaint department and should be available on their website (as mine does.)
This is obvious fraud. Someone decided to put the promotional deal on the website. Pushing the button managed to create a process which gets Verizon everything you promised them, sent you a phone and created a charge, but somehow that process "forgot" to enter the promotion you were promised.
I guarantee you, "Customer Service Suzy" has been trained you give you a list of excuses for why you are wrong and should not receive your credit. They were told to expect your call. After a number of calls or period of time, they were trained to tell you you will receive your credit, knowing full well they were lying.
That makes this criminal fraud. All it will take is one "Customer Service Suzy" to break into tears in a deposition and Verizon looks a lot like Wells Fargo.
Don't know about you, but I'd be happy watching that in real time.
Call, write or go to you State's Attorney General's website, tell your story and file a fraud complaint.
Well, gave them one more chance. Chat.
Reply: "Since you didn't add a new line, we can't honor the promotion"
Ordered from my account page - upgrade phone page. Existing customer/phone upgrade. No new service mentioned anywhere on any page during the process. I have screen shots to prove it.
I've already been promised Verizon would honor the promotion FOUR TIMES.
Get this... Reply: "Sorry. I can offer you a one time $10 credit for the FALSE PROMISES you were made."
He wrote this. Actually wrote from a Verizon office (mini-cube) under the Verizon logo.
I just sent screen shots of the chat (WITH HIS bribery offer to forget the FALSE PROMISES) to the Arizona Attorney General's office. Also sent screen shots of the offer page, order page etc.
Do this on your Attorney General's web site. Watch Verizon go down.
