I have been with Verizon for 15+ years now in many states and now live in NC. I have the More Everything Family Plan with 15 Gigs of Data. I also work for a company that gets a very nice discount on the Account Level and for Each Line we have. I have always had the 2 year contract for each line. Was looking to go into the Edge plan, but bottom line is with my discounts, etc., it's cheaper for me to get a normal 2 year contract. My question is, I saw someone post, where after your two-year contract is up, and you start to go month to month, that there is a discount? Is this true? Currently, we pay the $40 per line / 100 for 15 Gigs minus our discount + taxes runs us about $177 per month. Just curious about any other discounts that I may be entitled to starting July 8th when one of my 4 lines will start going month to month. Thanks!!
Yes there is month to month discount you can add online when your contract is up. You will be paying less per line fee when you go out of contract and add the discount.
4 smartphones & 15 GB of data for $177/month???? That is quite the discount.
You say you are paying the $40 line access fee on 4 lines. That is $160/month already, meaning your data + taxes/fees only add up to $17/month. I would think just the taxes/fees on those 4 line access fees would be more than $17/month.
I obviously do not have as good a discount as you do, but I have 4 smartphone lines. Three of those 4 lines are getting the month to month discount for being out of contract. I also only have a 10 GB/month data allowance. Regardless, with 4 smartphone lines(3 with a $25 month to month discount) and 10 GB/month my monthly bill is $168 including taxes/fees.
$15 x 3 = $45 (3 smartphone lines with $25 month to month discount)
$40 (1 smartphone line under contract)
$62.40 (10 GB data allowance with 22% employer discount)
Monthly charges = $147 with $21 in taxes/fees.
