I went to Verizon wireless in Orland Park IL - Looking to port my spouses phone and to get my daughter a phone - on a BOGO.
So we were told by CORPORATE VERIZON WIRELESS REP LOOKING FOR A COMMISSION CHECK - that we could do a BOGO mix match an Apple and a SAMSUNG - the price for the payoff would be based off of the apple as it is more expensive.- Was told credit would show and then it would be 2-3 months of payments for both phones then the credit-- CALLED VW on paying the phone off -- and she told me I am not on a BOGO - This is a typical Verizon Wireless Scam -
I am so ANGRY - They need to FIX this - I am reporting this bait and switch of items to the attorney general as this appears to be a normal practice at Verizon Wireless.

Good luck with that. AG isn't going to do anything because of a single employee not reading the details of promotions sent from corporate. Best case is that employee gets fired for misinformation and that's about it.
BOGO follows 2 primary formulas and have for years. A) One line has to be new/ported in and B) Must be within the same family i.e 2 iPhone 8's or 2 Galaxy S9's.
If you don't do both A & B, you don't qualify. Calling Care isn't going to do any good because customer service agents don't have the ability to give you something that isn't there and neither does a supervisor. Best option is have that store manager work something out with you.
Even if you did qualify, paying device off early would have disqualified you.
