I closed my Verizon account Awhile ago and in order to close it I was told by the guy on the phone that I needed to pay everything to close it. I paid the remaining 300 or so.  Today I received a notice from a collection agency (Convergent) saying I owed from that same account. I have tried calling Verizon and they can't help me . How could I possibly have had a past due bill on my account sent for collection when the only statements sent to me by Verizon show a negative balance??? Who can I even contact to get this resolved? This is crazy that I now have a collection notification on my credit report for a charge that Verizon never even reported to me! Help me.

We can understand how frustrating and concerning that would be. Once the account goes to collections, you will want to speak to Financial Services for help with this matter. Please give Financial Services a ring at 866-266-1445, between the hours of Mon-Fri 7AM to 12AM ET. Sat 8AM-8PM ET. BrittanyC_VZW
