Long story short, son broke his phone. I want to get a s20+ on his line, and use it on mine, and give him my iPhone.
Can I just swap his SIM card into my phone and continue to use mine in the s20+?
Joe131, we are so sad to hear that your son's phone was broken. We are here to help.
Yes, you can upgrade his line, use the new phone on your line, and let him use your current phone on his line. The Samsung Galaxy S20+ would use a different type of SIM card than the iPhones use, so you would not be able to just swap the SIM card.
To activate the new phone on your line, you can first activate the new phone on the line the upgrade was for. Then you can choose to change phones online within your My Verizon account. There will be an option to swap phones between your lines. This link would take you to where you can make that change when you are ready https://login.verizonwireless.com/vzauth/UI/Login?realm=vzw&goto=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.verizonwireless.c...
