I too, like others, was promised (two) $100 Verizon gift cards for upgrading to a higher internet speed when signing up for FiOS. However, it has been a hassle for the ages to redeem the gift card and FOUR MONTHS and about 10 HOURS later I am still without the cards and no further along!!
This should be reported to the news media, TV, FCC etc anyone as this is pathetic. I have been told about a dozen times that "Verizon is working on the issue" and they "know the weblink doesn't work". REALLY. A cable internet company can't do this. Every button of the webite where you redeem the cards works, EXCEPT the one to redeem the card. Curios coincidence. NO. Now, (7/30/21) when you click on the redeem button it LOOKS like its working, then simply return you to the same website.
This deserves a class action lawsuit for FRAUD if this fiasco is not fixed. Does anyone know anyone at ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBA etc?? They would love to investigate this situation. Just see how many others have posted notes of frustration. I've had it.
If we are owed the cards, then send them out. And if we are not yet out of a waiting period to get the cards - then tell us that.
I was told 7/23/21 that the cards were IN THE MAIL and could be activated when they arrive. Will see. Not holding my breath. Oh, and I also tried the My Fios and My Verizon apps on my phone with the SAME result. No difference with Safari or Chrome as the browser. Just nothing!!.
If this doesn't happen I'm sending this letter to the networks and the Better Business bureau and FCC. GOOD LUCK.
