Why does chat take so long to get a reply? When the chat started, it was going at a decent pace. Then once we got to the issue I needed help with, the replies got a lot more scarce. I've now had to click twice to stay in the chat since the last reply. It's been about an hour now in chat and I just got this message:
"Unfortunately, it looks like the previous conversation you were having was already closed by the agent but don't worry, we will connect with the next available agent. Please feel free to type in your question."
I've read that chat helps multiple people at once, so it takes a while to get a reply. Why not just help one person at a time, just like when I call and talk to customer service.
Verizon chat has been the only issue I've had with Verizon since signing up in 2005-2006. This is something that needs to be fixed.
