Christmas promotion was to upgrade iPhones for $15 or $20 a month payment plan. Hit the link to see if I was eligible for the upgrade, I was. Got new iPhone, sent them my old iPhone. No promotion. First call, it takes a few billing cycles to process but you are eligible so it will reflect on your bill soon. Second call a few months later, yes you should be getting the promotion and once it goes through it'll reflect on you bill and retro. Third call, six months later, you're not eligible for the promotion because you did an early upgrade. What? So now I'm stuck paying more money for a phone and I'm stuck in a contract and can't do anything about it. That's called ENTRAPMENT! Telling me I'm elibible for an upgrade under a promotion and then turning around saying I'm not because there's two types of upgrades. The only way I could have got the promotion is if I owned my phone. Which under a payment plan, takes two years to pay off, there would not be a contract neither so how is that an upgrade?
You always deserve clear and accurate information. I apologize for the experience. I would love the opportunity to take a closer look at the original order. I have sent you a Direct Message and will look forward to working with you further.

Yeah, I did a upgrade (no trade in) to iphone 7 plus on 12/19/17 and it should be $20.00/mo after bill credits. I was aware of the 2-3 bill cycle before seeing credits, but called back in Feb 2017 to see if that promo was still in place. Verizon customer service assured me it was. Now, looking at the August bill the promo has still not been applied. I'm actually on the phone with them as I type this. The person helping me is trying, but it having difficulty locating that actual promo from Christmas 2016. There are a few other threads about this. Seems hit or miss with it getting resolved.
did you put the phone on a different line? Was your phone shipped out on time or in back order? I know these two things can have a major effect on the credit.
It's a 3 line account and did an upgrade on one line under the normal equipment lease plan. I went into the store to do the upgrade. They did not have any iphone 7 plus in stock, so they did the order and I received the phone via fedex on 12/22/16 and activated it that same day. They assured me that the promo was still in place. Anyways, after my phone call yesterday they could see that there has been no promo credits applied to my bill even 6 months after the upgrade. The girl I spoke to said to give them 72 hours to do an overview, but she said that the credits should start to show up on the Sept/Oct billing cycle. I'm going to wait till October to followup again, but I can see why there are so many complaints about Verizon.
I was told twice that I was going to get the promotion. The promotion ended on 12-21. I placed my order shortly after midnight and I still owed money on the old phone. So those were the two reasons Verizon said I wasnt eligible. (Even though their website said I was eligible and did not make me pay the remaining balance on my phone) So don't be surprised when they say you weren't eligible. Which brings on another problem, not knowing if you're eligible for at least two billing cycles. Which is too late to turn the phone back in and you're already stuck in a contract and paying full price for the phone. Also, why would anyone pay off a phone, then turn it into Verizon just to pay a little less on a new phone? None of it makes sense. Verizon did contact me after I posted this and credited me $100 something dollars which they claimed would have been the promotion minus the pay off on my old phone. Lesson learned. Pay off your phone and get a promotion through Best Buy!
I've gone thru Best Buy for upgrades before with no issue, but I wasn't trading in a device and this promo thru Verizon was the best out there IMO.I'm not optimistic that this will get resolved.
