Do not know what happened to Verizon. Yes, we are in the pandemic, but one would think the company would step up customer service. Yet they have gone in the opposite direction. If I treated my clients the way their support responds, I would not have any clients.
What a shame.
Verizon's time line says it didn't exist until 2000.
You may have used a carrier that was merged to create Verizon, as I was.
So you know there is a pandemic, but haven't considered its effect on call centers?
Call centers are using half staff to maintain social distance. And more customers are calling because many stores are closed. If you can't self serve online, then you have to be patient when you call or use chat.
I agree. I have been trying to deal with the same problem for 6 months through Verizon. You always have to hear how the next rep is so sorry and you are so lucky you got them because they’ll restore your faith and they’re just as horrible
I have to agree 100%!! I've been on their website trying to upgrade my Apple watch for the past two days. No info that the website is down or experiencing issues whatsoever but there apparently are. And I've just tried a live chat and got the worst customer service ever! The person completely ignored some of my questions and just left the chat or had me sitting here for dang near 30 min waiting for a response! I hope there is a survey on customer service.
We appreciate your many years of loyalty, BillV2. We want to turn this around ASAP. Please tell us more about what is happening. We are here to help!
Zeryl, it truly saddens me to hear of your experience as we strive to provide only the best in customer service for you. Please accept my biggest apology. Help is here. Are you still in need of activating your Apple Watch?
Imagine the other side for just a sec. 8 - 10 hours of relentless back to back calls with only 2 15 minute breaks and a lunch break to get any peace. Could you do it? Could you tolerate strangers telling you how useless you are because they hate the company? Can you upsell to try bonus on an underpaid check because the company is stressing customer support to play sales during a pandemic?
Can you do this with less resources thanks to Covid 19 and still function like everything is ok? Everyone quick to judge, but not even consider the mess an agent deals with daily.
I dunno why people are even wasting their own time, sometimes an hr in queue to have a stranger read their bill back to them. It's 2020, ordering online isn't some cryptic mystery. You can change your number, plan and other things from an app. I haven't had to call Verizon in over 3 years.
