Does Verizon Up still collect personal data?

Received promo email:

Save $10/mo when you enroll in Mobile + Home Rewards through Verizon Up. That’s $5 off each bill for as long as you keep both services. Plus, get $5 every month to use toward your next phone, tablet or smartwatch.*

Haven't enrolled in Verizon Up b/c when first became available in 2017 there were many negative reviews regarding the loss of privacy by being also enrolled in Verizon Selects which collects data.

Does the Verizon Up discount still require allowing personal data to be collected, and if yes what is your experience/perspective regarding this?  Is it worth a $15/mo discount?

Customer Support

I can understand your concern to learn more about the promotional email you received, LLLGGG3. Customers are no longer required to enroll in Verizon Selects to join Verizon Up.  Verizon Up is a great way to save on your Verizon bill. I've provided a link here: with more information on our Mobile + Home rewards program. I hope this information helps. -Kia
