Any word on a Verizon unlimited plan for 1st responders? I've had verizon for years but just saw at&t gives a 25% discount towards their unlimited plan for responders. I can cut my bill almost in half half from $117 to just under $70. Verizon, you there? Any word on a 1st responder plan?
RyOShea, we offer first responder discounts. Please go to Discounts for Military, Government, Corporate Employees | Verizon Wireless to start the process in having it applied to your account.

Yes, crickets. I’ve copied and pasted what they posted on here. I’ve yet to receive a call back or response back from Verizon from any messages I‘ve sent back to them. They sent me a message asking what my phone number is so they “could contact me”, which I sent to them, and never heard back. I’m giving it until December, and if Verizon hasn’t stepped up, I’ll be making the move to FirstNet/AT&T. What’s happening with Verizon is reminiscent of what I went through many years ago with Sprint. Their customer service and misdirection is almost exactly the same as it was with Sprint. Must‘ve been a change in leadership at Verizon.

You know very well that's for any employee discount and in no way related to a dedicated first responder plan. You also know that for unlimited data plans, that isn't going to take anything off unless it's a military ECPD.
If I were a first responder, I'd be deeply appalled at this. There is no active first responder plan, customers deserve better than to be strung along.
I to was contacted.
Sadly Verizon I feel does not truly support or appreciate First Responders. A large majority of which are volunteers. The next group is generally well underpaid.
It would be easy enough for Verizon to extend its appreciation for the Military to its Home Town Heroes aka First Responders.
Sadly, All these posts will likely go unheard. I can tell you At&t is making a very hard play for our money and service. There are At&t reps going to Police, Fire, and EMS stations to sign up our first responders. Does Verizon really want to lose these accounts? Verizon learn from this, PD, FD, and EMS have many family and friends. At least the family aspects will also leave to enjoy the 25% off service as well.
Come on Big Red. Hear this and make a smart play and move. Support your Home Town Heroes like At&t is!
THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT FIRSTNET from AT&T
Yes, low price and priority service...
1. No roaming other than Canada and Mexico, so it you travel internationally, you want an unlocked phone for local service. ATT phones are sold locked.
2. One customer has reported he can’t set up voicemail to support. Support response was, “not all features of your regular plan will work”. (This is probably fixable).
3. One customer complained of bad coverage as opposes to his regular plan.
2 and 3 may be bugs. 1 is not.
Probably not for a good while. Took them forever to offer military more than beyond a little 15% off because of T-Mobile pressure. They care more about the people scamming the elderly into 2 year contracts off "free" tablets than the person helping that same elderly person in an accident.
No, serious. Sales makers get 50% off unlimited per line! It's infuriating!
