***Announcement: Early next week, we’ll be merging the current Fios and Wireless Communities into the all new Verizon Community! Beginning the evening of Sunday 12/4, both Communities will be placed in read-only mode. You’ll still be able to visit the Communities and browse content, but login will be disabled. Getting charged extra for lines not even being used

I am having this same issue. I contacted Verizon over two years ago trying to disconnect a phone I couldn’t use because it was broken. I was told I couldn’t until the phone was paid off. Verizon offered me $140 credit. It’s a slap to the face honestly.
