Three Galaxy S7’s in our house. All three no hotspot this morning.! All three hotspot worked last evening. 1,000’s of customers having this issue. It is total garbage from Verizon to control their total system-wide data usage. I repeat. THIS IS CORPORATE WIDE RANDOM HOTSPOT DENIAL TO "LIMIT" EVERYONE'S "UNLIMITED" DATA. PROVE ME WRONG.!!
I have had the hotspot feature for about a year, I was using it successfully almost every day, and now they tell me it's not included with my plan, my hotspot data was a mistake, and to switch to a new plan for an extra $5 a month as it will no longer work, but all of the new plans have heavily limited data usage making them useless for working at home. Verizon has failed me when I needed them the most!
I was just trying to get answers from there chat and the system that looked up my information for the chat rep said I dont have Hotspot as part of my service. But I paid for it for years! What is going on Verizon?

Starting to look and feel like they are having some sort of regional or national computer system issues, perhaps in failing to properly report a user's eligible access to hotspot. Not sure, but the lack of transparency and updates makes it frustrating, particularly when you rely on the feature for your business need and it's missing.
I think they're trying to force everyone intone of the new plans. When I asked what would happen to my speeds and if there would be any new limitations, they refused to answer.
