I had two lines on my account. I cancelled one and have been trying for a month to get the other line assigned as the account owner. I have chatted with 4 reps online, and two via telephone and NO ONE can fix this issue. I cannot order certain items nor can I make changes. I don't want to cancel this line but I can't get what seems to be a simple issue fixed.

Should have switched before cancelling. try making that like an acount manager first. but once again something that should have been done first.

ggbenthul, We want to ensure you obtain the information you need. I can definitely address your text message inquiry. If when looking at My Verizon, you don't just see your phone number but all the other numbers and devices on the account, then your line is already registered as the Account Owner number. Our website does keep text message detail (to and from with date and time) for up to 90-days. To view that detail, you'll want to ensure you've chosen the desired number and then click on "View Previous Usage" and then choose the billing period you' wish to view from the listing of dropdown dates next to where it says "View or Save Printable Bill (PDF)." Then, click on the Text tab under Activity and then View under Text log. Detail can be saved to an Excel spreadsheet and saved since it's not available in our billing systems or online after the 90-day time frame. Text usage beyond the 90-day time frame can be requested via a court order if not being backed up by the originating device via a Cloud source in which to see that detail in the device itself. Text message content can only be retrieved via a court order and does require a Preservation of Stay Letter from an Attorney since we only keep messaging content saved to our servers for 5 days before that content is permanently deleted. If your lines use Verizon Message+ and you have Integrated Messaging turned on for the lines, you can log in to Message+ using the profile login of the line you want to see the texts. Of course, you have to know the password for the login.

If you need to see the actual text messages on the devices, then look on the actual devices. That is simple enough. Being logged in to MyVerizon as the owner of the account WILL NOT give you access to the actual text messages for all of the lines on the account. The people sending/receiving those messages have the right to privacy. YOU have the right to discontinue paying for the lines if they will not show you the messages on the devices. This is not Verizon's responsibility, but simply something you and the holder of the device must work out.
Finally, you should NEVER post the phone numbers of your account on this public forum for ALL to see. This is just asking for those number to be spammed more than the spam they already receive.
