If both phones are smartphones that use the same size SIM card, you should be able to just move the SIM card from one phone to another.  You also can switch devices via your My Verizon account.  This may help:

the current phone is a iphone, which want let me answer it, the old phone is s samsung.

Being able to switch phones can certainly come in handy, and I want you to be able to do this quickly and easily when you need to. Question #1 within the link here (http://spr.ly/66021xyU4) will go through the options on how to activate a device, depending on what you're trying to do.

 

Your current iPhone won't let you answer it, based on what you wrote, can you elaborate on that? Does the iPhone work for texting and the internet? Are you able to place outbound calls without any issue?
