How long does it take for the trade-in valuation to be posted on your account?
It is not clear when this happens and I keep getting conflicting information.
Both my trade ins have been very slow and communication has been bad (with support and the Verizon website has many glitches). I was told in the store that the valuation would be quick and easy but the credit would take 1-2 billing cycles. I was told that its value would be assessed with a few days of arrival, and I was given good valuation in the store. Later on .. after more support contacts it was then a week, then 2 weeks, and today, was told it could a month or two......for the valuation to post. Every time I make contact their story changes. Their tracking is very poor of the process and the customer support staff do not seem to know how their own website and systems work.
It took five phone, chat or email contacts just to get the trade-in box sent to my home. They used USPS snail mail to send the box so it took over 9 days to arrive !
I am totally regretting switching to Verizon at this point. Until I get this trade-in mess resolved and an apology I certainly am warning all my friends not to do trade-ins or use Verizon for that matter. So wish I stayed with T-Mobile at this point. I had zero problems over three years. Only switched as I wanted iPhone but give a Samsung trade in.
I see from the other threads I am in for a rough path and certainly will be contacting the business ombudsman soon. They are clearly making it difficult to get your trade-in processed.
