How to escalate issue due to no results with Customer Service?

I won't bore everyone with all the details, but I have spent hours on several phone calls with several different Customer Service agents. Been disconnected, told that a Supervisor would contact me, been told the issue was resolved, etc. with still no resolution. My family has been with Verizon for 17 years and we enjoy the coverage, but this is not my first experience dealing with the Customer Support runaround. I just want someone who will take ownership of the situation who has the authorization to make choices. Up to now, the 10+ different people I have talked to either don't have the authority to make it right or simply don't care. Sadly, I think the majority of the people I spoke with fall into both of those categories.
