When I bought a phone for my son today, I SPECIFICALLY asked for a phone that had ZERO internet capability; we bought the LG Revere 3, and were ASSURED by the young lady in the Verizon store that the phone had NO INTERNET CAPABILITY. Then, I asked for plan which was TALK AND TEXT ONLY, no data, NO INTERNET; we were sold the $30/mo unlimited talk and text plan.
Now, I log into my acct here online, and I see "Unlimited talk and text/Mobile Web" -- [Removed] I do not want web, internet, AT ALL; that was what I asked for, and was assured, 4 or 5 times when I asked, that this was what I was receiving.
What is going on? How do I get rid of that "Mobile web" business?????? I DON'T WANT IT!!!!!!!!!!!

The $30 prepaid plan for basic phones does include 'talk/text/mobile web, so that's the name of the plan you're on, the data block feature can still be added to that number for your account however.
If you were told the phone wouldn't have internet capabilities at the point of sale they may have already added that feature then, but if it's still able to access internet services they could add a data block feature to the line by calling or visiting Verizon
We hope your concerns get addressed! If you have any questions at all please reach the Prepaid services team for assistance: 888-294-6804.

The problem has been resolved. Since I got no response at all to my question here, the night I posted it, my son went back to the Verizon store the next day and talked to a mgr about it, and the "mobile web" thing was blocked or disabled or whatever. Apparently that is the only way to actually get anything done, since I got no response to that post that night, and earlier that day when we tried to call Verizon with questions, we got nothing but phone trees and hold time, and then the call was completely dropped.
