I signed up for 4G Global talk, voice, and data plan before going to Europe. It seems the only way to get real data connection on the iPhone 6 is to enable data roaming. I see I've racked up 10+ MB of roaming data usage, but when I visit my Verizon account, I see 0 MB usage under my Global usage page. Are we guaranteed that when traveling in the covered countries and enabling roaming that any charges will be covered under the Global plan (up to the allowed 100 MB)?
When did you use the global data and how long after did you look?
When at home reporting data usage can take 6+ hours, when on an extended network at home it can take 24+ hours. I imagine global data can take even longer than that to be reported. Then it also has to be marked onto your account.
This is more than 12 hours but less than 24 hours. I hope it's just a delay, but it wouldn't matter if Verizon verified that any roaming in the covered countries would count against the Global plan quota.
My theory is it hasn't been reported yet.
If you added the Global Plan and verified it was there, you're golden. I'm assuming you either used the Verizon Trip planner or spoke to a Verizon Rep to make sure the correct global plan was added.
