I spoke to a representative about a month ago asking if current customers could still opt for a 2 year contract with subsidized phone at renewal time (which is coming up for me in 2 weeks). The representative told me that yes, I could still opt for the 2 year contract with subsidized phone. I received a message saying I'm eligible for upgrade now. When I logged in to the website to do some research on the phones available under two year contract I can see the subsidized pricing but when I select a phone it will only allow me to select retail or monthly pricing.
What gives? Your representative told me I could keep the two year contract with subsidized phone. Was that incorrect?
If i remember correctly you have tk do it over the phone or in store to get a 2 year option. Online doesn't give the option anymore.
Which plan do you have? The option is only available to those on grandfathered plans.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
Consider that the subsidized price is only what you pay up front. Your increased line access charges will pay for the rest monthly. Maybe take another look at the monthly device payment option since your line access charges may be lessened by exploring other plan options.
Make sure you ask yourself if the 2 year contract is the best deal for you. If you are on More Everything or Verizon Plan make sure you know a contract adds $500 to the monthly costs you will pay over 2 years. Often, the 2 year payment plan is a cheaper and better deal.
