I just upgraded to an iPhone 8+ from a 5s. The data is murderously slow. I cannot stream anything from Youtube to simple FB videos. I use facetime sometimes to talk to relatives. On the 5s, it was manageable, but on the 8+, it is AWFUL!!!
How do I find out if I am being throttled on cellular data? If I am being throttled, what can I do? I am at 84% data left for the billing period (at the time of this writing), so I'm not sure why data is so slow. It's past 11PM - way past prime data use time. answ
I need answers and resolution, or I need a new carrier.
Dave504, I completely understand how concerning it can be when your data speeds on a new device are running slower than in comparison to your previous device. I have an iPhone 8 myself and I definitely want to make sure that it can use data correctly. The step that glitchedpixel suggested definitely can help. I would also like to gather a few more details on what you are experiencing just to make sure we find the definite resolution. Are you able to use calling and text messaging okay? Are you experiencing these data speeds everywhere you go? Is this happening both indoors and outdoors?
