In recent days I’ve been able to log into my phone account from another phone through their safari. I was prompted to answer my security question and was able to view my account. I’ve tried to do that again and now being asked to send a text or email, but the problem is at the time and now I didn’t have access to those things so the security question was what I needed to have as an option to answer. Is there a particular site to go to for being able to log in using a security question versus text or email code?
Let me also add even up through today I was able to login without sending a text, email or security question, but had to be on my home WiFi. I ended up clearing my browser history and was no longer able to login again with the text or email. Anyway around this?
Thank you for bringing this concern to us, LSP781. To clarify, is your question with regard to whether certain sites require two-factor authentication for logging in? MatthewI_VZW
It’s really everything around it. My account isn’t set up for two factor authentication. Sometimes I can log in on the mobile desktop site from my phone using just the security question and then out of nowhere I requires a text or email and that only allows one time login access. Wondering why.
LSP781, in an effort to ensure the security and protection of our customer's accounts you can and will be prompted randomly with two factor authentication. This is an effort to deter compromise of customer sensitive information.
As previously discussed, for security reasons, you will be prompted randomly with two-factor authentication. This is to avoid compromise of customer sensitive information.
