I received a text message last night offering me a loyalty discount on my bill each month if I called an 800 number to claim it. I would like to find out if this is a legitimate offer, and where I would find it in my account? If it is a legitimate offer, I should be able to accept it via the website.
It's always best to be cautious when it comes to a random text telling you to call or click on a link to receive something, as that is how phishing attempts work. Without knowing what exactly this text said, or what phone number it referred you to, we would have to assume that it's a phishing text. One of the best ways to confirm if Verizon Wireless sent it, and more importantly if there is a special discount for you, would be to contact Customer Service.
