Masked Calls

I am receiving frequent, masked calls.  The caller hangs up when I answer.  Also, he uses other folk's numbers (I have called some of them back).

The usual cure for this is to check the call records, where the real number shows up.  However, these calls show up only on my phone, with the false number.  They are not in the call records (i.e. if he calls me twice in a day and I had six other calls, the records do not show eight calls, they show six.

Is there a solution?

Corky060666, nuissance calls have become a huge concern to all of us. Tikibar1 and Glitchedpixel have provided some great options. However, we know that changing a long time number is not an easy decision. There are apps available to help identify the caller, such as Caller Name ID at https://www.verizonwireless.com/solutions-and-services/caller-name-id/. Once identified, you may then block that number to put a stop to these calls. We hope this is beneficial.
