Will Verizon Wireless be supporting the pending 4G/LTE version of the Microsoft Surface 3? I have been toying with the idea of upgrading my 4G/LTE Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2012) tablet. If not, I could purchase the non 4G verison and tether it to my smartphone, but I would rather have the 4G/LTE enabled S3.

dexman,
It is always nice to know what may be available before you do upgrade your tablet. At this time we do not have any information if we will or will not be supporting the 4G/LTE version of the Microsoft Surface 3. I would recommend visiting our news page to sign up for alerts for any new products and services http://www.verizonwireless.com/news/.

Has there been any news about the Surface 3 lte for Verizon release date? I have been seeing announcements from other websites that Verizon will have a Surface 3 lte. What would be the pricing? Would it be eligible on the edge plan? Would you carry both Surface 3s or just the 64 Gb with 2 Gb of ram?
I would love to get a Surface 3 lte with 128 GB and 4 Gb of ram through the edge plan.
The Surface 3 is one sweet feature packed tablet. While we do not have any details concerning the Surface 3, I highly recommend signing up for our Email Updates service. As soon as new info is made available, it will be provided through this service

I reposted my question under my Verizon ID before noticing that this my earlier post had garnered some replies.
As I mentioned, at&t is already selling the S3 and T-Mobile will have it at the end of the month. Verizon Wireless has been silent.
Recent revelation that Microsoft and Verizon Wireless may be parting company seems to cast doubt that the S3 will be picked up by VZW. It shouldn't be too difficult for someone "in the know" to log into this forum and set the record straight.
Recent revelation that Verizon Wireless and Microsoft may be parting company seems to cast doubt that Verizon Wireless will carry it. I could be wrong, but it sure doesn't look good.
What is the problem with Verizon not getting Surface capability? Why should we be forced to switch to At&T just to get the service.
Is there any hope for Microsoft Surface, or are petty corporate politics going to control what we can have?
The bulk of the responses from Verizon reps is "we don't know nuthin".
The 550 & 950s not being CDMA compatible was Microsoft's decision. While VZW isn't carrying the S3 in store, they can be purchased at a Microsoft Store or Best Buy and taken over to VZW for activation.
It looks like Verizon is now offering the Surface 3. Apparently this is only for business customers only. Any word on if or when this will be available to regular consumers?
New devices are always an exciting time so I understand how you feel kakagill. This device is currently only available for business account and there is no information at this time if it will become available for consumer accounts. You can visit http://vz.to/1XiREOK to view all the available Tablets for consumer accounts. If the Surface 3 becomes available for consumer accounts it will be updated there as well.
