How can I stop push notifications coming from MyVerizon app?

This would be device specific. You should have an area for notifications in your settings, which would allow you to select applications individually. Once there, you would need to set the notifcations to off for the application. For Android, go to your system settings, apps & notifications, app info, MyVerizon, app notifications.

You may want to turn off "Retail".
