My desktop apps for Verizon Messages stopped working about a week ago, and now the MyVerizon texting online app website has also stopped working. The programs will not sync correctly to show recently received or sent messages on my phone, and any messages that I send through the desktop versions or on the Verizon website version just get lost in the aethers.
The last date that there was any syncing happening was on Tuesday, 8/20/19. In reading the feedback on Google Play and the Windows app store (I had looked to see if there was an update to the app), I know I'm not the only one experiencing this problem.
What's going on, Verizon?
I have a Samsung Galaxy S9, less than 2 years old, and there was a recent OS update, so I could understand if it was the reverse, where stuff doesn't come through on my phone because of an OS issue, but comes through on the apps on other devices, but my phone is the only thing that seems to be working correctly in this situation.
Verizon's management could care less. If they make money, it doesn't matter you feel. That's how you get to be at the top of the food chain like Verizon's executives. THEY LACK EMPATHY. They lie. They break the law. They increase surcharges and fees and use that money to lobby and corrupt the government. Trump and Ajai Pai at the FCC sure as heck are not looking out for you and the FCC *never* will look out for you until a VERY aggressive, consumer-friendly President is in charge. Even then, Verizon will claim to follow the law and still cheat you.
Their toxic attitude is reflected in their error messages. On my phone, the app won't connect. It says, "There was a problem with YOUR connection." Never mind that *every single app on my phone can connect via Wi-Fi and 4G*. No, Verizon claims *my* connection is the problem, not theirs! Yet, it is obivous the problem is something with THEM or THEIR app. This deflection is one of the many toxic ways Verizon avoids accountability and wears people down. mess them. My wife *finally* has had enough of Verizon so I can finally go with another carrier!

Theses syncing issues are nothing an end user can do anything about, so PLEASE STOP asking the end users what trouble shooting THEY have done. What trouble shooting HAS VZW done? Are the VZW product teams (I say teamS because I'm sure there must be more than one team) coordinating their development efforts and production releases. Have they unintentionally introduced bugs, and cannot figure out a resolution? Or hope to correct it with a future release? Full disclosure would do wonders for your PR dept. For my own case, I have a Verizon Message browser tab that states I have 49 unread messages both home [Verizon network], and at work. I do not. No unread messages, neither in my browser nor in my VZW android app. So since syncing happens on the host/server side, the issues are yours to correct. To quote you ... "What steps have you [VZW] tried to troubleshoot this app?"
My problem started today. I used to be able to access my account with my iPad 12.9. Now it says I don't have sms or it goes to the LETS GET STARTED page, which never used to happen. I just updated to IOS 13.3 and upgraded my phones. My iPad is Wi-Fi only but it always worked...,what happened???
I'm sorry that you are having some issues with your iPad, HeweyD. You mention that you used to be able to access your account with your iPad and now you get an error. You should be able to access your Verizon Wireless account from any device that has access to the internet.

Is your iPad connected to a WiFi network when you try to access your Verizon Wireless account?
My Verizon keeps saying I need to Update. When I click the Update button, it takes me to Google Play with the option to Uninstall or Open My Verizon. When I click on Open, it takes me back to My Verizon app that says I need to Update. An endless loop getting no where.

My Verizon app has a message to update it. so I press update and nothing happens. circular messages. so I uninstalled it and reinstalled it..same message to update it...frustrating
