I have been a prepaid customer of Verizon's for over 5 years now. I recently decided I'd like to upgrade to a newer 5g phone and since Verizon said they had a big switch over deal going I thought I'd try to take advantage of the promotions. Verizon offers "NOTHING" for it's prepaid customers with new phone promotions. It's all for new lines or existing (contract) customers only.
I feel that prepaid customers put alot of money into Verizon's bank account also and deserve some new phone perks & promotions. Verizon should respect a loyal customer no matter what plan they use and stop trying to anchor people into a contract just to get a promo price on phones.
I know tons of people using prepaid phones and offering phone deals for prepaid customers should be a standard, not a possible option for the future.
Why does Verizon not offer anything to help prepaid customers with the price of a new phone?
A carrier doesn't make money on phones, there's no incentive as a business to give phone deals on already cheap service. It's not "contract" accounts, btw. It's called postpaid. Verizon hasn't done service contracts for consumer accounts in years.
