I am very upse & frustrated with Verizon i used to be Sprint customer. During Christmas time, I bought 4 iPhones from Target and transferred 4 lines from sprint to Verizon. During that time, Verizon is running promotion that customer will rreceive $150 credit per line transfer/new customer. Costco & target both ran same promotions and offer $50 gift cards & waive activation for iphone 6 purchased. I got it from Target since my daughter want silver color instead of gold and costco. Well, anyway I confirmed with target sales before I purchased. they told me that credit will show in 2-3 billing cycle to show up. So when I received my third bills and no credits, I called the customer services . They confirmed the promotion and told me wait another month. (I made sure that they put notes in my account for future references. ) so i callled every month after 3 bills, i did the same things, called the customer services, verified the promotion and waited. so on Sunday after recived the bills and no crediits again, I CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICES AGAIN. the customer servcies verified again and filed some paperworks. she told me that someone will call me back within 24-48 hours to confirm the credits.
TOday, I called customer services again after 48 hours without any dollowup, I waited 50 mins to talk to the supervisor Kevin. He told me that the dept determine I was not eligible because they didnt have that promotion during that time with Target. when I told Kevin , I will like to get his last name. I told him I will like to file complain. He refused to give it to me. I Told him as a customer, I have the right to file complain, I demand he either give me his employee ID or last name.
IT is totally misleading: ads ran in TV and do not honor
i called every month & customer services verified the promotion and all the sudden after 3-4 months, it told me no?
i filed complain with better business bureau and I m thinking to file small claim court!
anyone has similar situation?
You outlined your problem in the first paragraph. You bought from Target, you can get whatever they offered you at that time. What Verizon offered is 100% irrelevant because you did not buy from Verizon.
You are more than welcome to take Target to Small Claims court.
I always thought the promotions were one or the other not additive. You buy from Best Buy or Target and you take their deal. You buy directly from Verizon you get their deal. That is the way it always worked in the past for me. Right now Verizon has a $100 transfer offer. But if you go to Target or Best Buy, they have their own deal. The small print on the Verizon offer says at Verizon store only.
uunderstand what u men, but when I transferre done line @ Target store, the target sale has to call in Verizon . I made him put it in speakerphone & asked the Verizon sales personally whether I will be eligible for $150 credit per line when I purchased the phones in target., he confirmed that I was. When I called last couple month, the customer services checked the promotion, and they all told me that I was eligible until today. I was to,d by 4 customer services in Verizon that I was eligible. I took their word.
Understood. File a dispute.
If you're a Postpay customer, you can dispute your bill within 180 days of receiving it, but unless otherwise provided by law or unless you're disputing charges because your wireless device was lost or stolen, you still have to pay all charges until the dispute is resolved. If you're a Prepaid customer, you can dispute a charge within 180 days of the date the disputed charge was incurred. YOU MAY CALL US TO DISPUTE CHARGES ON YOUR BILL OR ANY SERVICE(S) FOR WHICH YOU WERE BILLED, BUT IF YOU WISH TO PRESERVE YOUR RIGHT TO BRING AN ARBITRATION OR SMALL CLAIMS CASE REGARDING SUCH DISPUTE, YOU MUST WRITE TO US AT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE ADDRESS ON YOUR BILL, OR SEND US A COMPLETED NOTICE OF DISPUTE FORM (AVAILABLE AT VERIZONWIRELESS.COM), WITHIN THE 180–DAY PERIOD MENTIONED ABOVE. IF YOU DO NOT NOTIFY US IN WRITING OF SUCH DISPUTE WITHIN THE 180-DAY PERIOD, YOU WILL HAVE WAIVED YOUR RIGHT TO DISPUTE THE BILL OR SUCH SERVICE(S) AND TO BRING AN ARBITRATION OR SMALL CLAIMS CASE REGARDING ANY SUCH DISPUTE.
Having seen seen what passwords people choose, and since this links to your account where things can be bought on your dime, Verizon does it to protect their butt. They may end up eating a loss if someone gets into your account due to a overly simple, easily guessed password. I've seen this happen, so it is real.
