I'm on a family plan line with someone. This morning his number was taken out of service and I was made the account owner. He doesn't know what caused this. We are set to pay our bill tomorrow, but the funds we added to the account ($80) disappeared with his account.
Anyone had this problem? And Verizon, if you see this, can you address what happened and help me? I'm about to get double billed and the other member won't have phone service until this is sorted out.

Thank you, I got answers. The phone was tagged for non-pay, even though it was bought from a reputable online dealer. They offered a refund since the phone was not fully owned. I also learned that when an account gets disconnected, the funds are forfeited, so we are not getting that money back. It doesn't seem right since it was a family plan where we shared funds, but Verizon reps told me I can't get that money back. Thank you for responding.
