I signed up as a first time Verizon customer in Sept 2020, because of their nurse discount. The discount was $20 per line on unlimited plans. I set it up in the store with the representative (the store manager). Sent my proof to ID. Me website as well as emailed it to an email RYL...Verizon. Com. It was received on both ends since I got an email from Verizon stating I was accepted. I was told it would take 1-2 Bill cycles to be seen. In November the discount was not on, I called and spoke to someone. Was assured I was approved and it was on then. Waited a few weeks, checked the app..... no discount. Called again in December, told to resubmit my docs and apply again. Why?? Anyway, I did and got another email I was approved and it would be 1-2 more cycles. January 2021, no discount on my bill. why!!
called again!! Told they didn’t see my previous approvals. And to send it again to an RYL email address. Again got an approval right away! Called again. Said they see it and it was applied. I was told they would go back 90 days to credit my past 3 bills for the discount not applied. Of course that was never done! Called again February and told to reapply!! Now I’m getting upset! I did it in store with the manager again! Got an approval email. Told 1-2 MORE BILL CYCLES!! It is April. Nothing!! I called 2 weeks ago.... spoke with Sassy the supervisor who assured me she saw my approvals and was told I was denied recently because even though my healthcare was approved by Verizon, the company that applies the discount denied it because I didn’t have a standard plan?? I looked it up that day.... the discount says $20 per line with unlimited plans only!! That’s what I have. Sassy confirmed it and sent a request to talk supervisor to supervisor. She assured me it would be taken care of in 3-5 days. I called 5 days later since no discount was applied. Sassy is unavailable and would call me back! Still no calls..... sassy even confirmed my $400 return of dis discounts I should’ve gotten since September, but was told she could only refund the last three bills. She stated she would credit me $400 for bills January through April. To date I have never gotten a follow up phone call from sassy or an email from her and only received $100 credit. My nursing discount is still not applied as of today. What is going on with this and Verizon? I am a new customer with five lines all unlimited and I am leaving Verizon if this is not taken care of before my May bill. I have seen many posts online where this is been a problem. What’s up Verizon?
As a new customer we understand how much of a hassle this is for you as a customer with us. Not being able to get your discount would be a concern for me as well after waiting this long. With regard to your discount process I do want to make sure that it was submitted properly. To clarify, are you a certified registered nurse? Why would I apply for a discount without being a nurse? Yes I am a board certified registered nurse in california. It is now another month later and again no response to emails, calls , texts, chat and now this site.
Beware customers, Verizon lies about their discounts and refunds. Look online to see the hundreds to thousands of complaints.
