I've been on my parent's family plan for several years now, as in since I was a teenager. I've lived out of the house for a few years and am still on their plan but I have a family of my own now and want to come off of theirs and make my own.
I've been very happy with Verizon so it wouldn't be changing companies, it'd just be shifting to my own plan so I can then add my fiancee, brother, and sister as we all live together. Also, two of them don't currently have phones that work (one is the phone you get when on food stamps) so I'll need to look into phones too, though pricing would come later.
I'm rambling, I'm sorry. Basically I want off my parent's plan and onto my own. I'd update to add lines later on when I can afford it haha. How do I get off their family plan?
Thanks for your long-standing loyalty, henryboo89! We want to ensure you're set up for success with your own VZW account. We've got your back! When completing a Transfer Of Service, any existing promotions or offers on your parent's account would not move to the new account. You can review this information here: (refer to Transferring phone line(s) I own to someone else #1 & Receiving ownership of phone line(s) from someone else #1) https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/transfer-your-service-faqs/#current-owner for steps in transferring your line into your name. You will need to go with a Mix & Match plan which can be found here: (refer to How many lines do you need?) https://www.verizonwireless.com/plans/unlimited/ Please be advised the account must be current before the Account Owner or Account Manager can authorize the Transfer Of Service request. We have a great line up of smartphones check them our here: https://www.verizonwireless.com/smartphones/ I hope this information helps.
