Because of everything that 5going on I've been laid off if work since the beginning of March.  I got the phone on February the 28th. I wont be back to work until the end of May and that's a maybe. I'm trying to cancel my service because I can't afford it and turn the phone in. Verizon is willing to cancel my service but are saying that I would still be responsible for the entire bill of the phone. Who can I talk to so I can rid of the phone as well? If I could afford it I would keep my phone and service.

I'm sirry to hear you lost your job Charisse. We never want to lose your business. I hope you get to go back to work sooner than later. Whoever you talked to is correct. You would be responsible for the remainder of the device payment arrangement.

With our hours of operation being temporarily reduced due to the current pandemic, we’re making self serve options even simpler in order to do what you need. Protect your account until May 13th from late fees and payments in order to avoid interruption to your services using this easy short form found in question 1 (Important Policy Information and Special Offers) here:  https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/covid-19-faqs/ . You can also make a payment arrangement at https://m.vzw.com/m/paymentarrangement . Need to change your plan visit: https://m.vzw.com/m/huQP or add or remove features here:  https://m.vzw.com/m/huRe . Do everything from the convenience of your phone.

Does verizon have some sort of amnesty program? I think if they truly want to keep your business, as the associate said, they'd do ANYTHING to keep your business during this Chinese virus disaster. If they are, however, just another corporate giant, then you're out of luck.

Best of luck to you...
