I called in yesterday because we have a camp up north with a Jetpack. I explained we only use the place a couple times per year and the 15GB /month was too limiting. Most of the months we pay for the jetpack here while it consumes nothing. The chat agent enthusiastically upgraded my account to "unlimited go" and said it was only going to be a couple extra bucks a month - I was at Unlimited already, and said that will solve all these problems. Please check the transcripts. So, I start streaming and hit within 10% of the 15GB in one day and it sends an alert saying I am about to hit 15GB. I start another chat session and I am told by the 2nd agent that it is only going to throttle during times of network congestion past the 15gb. I have the transcript. As soon as I hit 15GB I am hard throttled to 600kbps also known as useless speed unless you want to connect to a 1990 BBS. I decide to now call in. I am now, using your terms “Beyond” Livid. I explained this to the phone agent. The only thing she can do is now credit me 5GB of data . Wait – you talk me into an unlimited go plan yesterday when I had 0GB of usage. I burn up 15GB because of what you recommended, and now want to leave me with 5GB for the rest of the month and act like the credit is doing me a favor. I demanded a credit of the 15gb back and was able to get 10GB. I pressed the agent to explain to me what benefit the unlimited go plan gave me over my other plan they talked me into. She couldn’t. I am convinced your agents don’t know what they are selling. How about a 50GB Jetpack plan? Unlimited it a horrible misleading term for these plans. Also, I want to retract the survey I filled out yesterday on the misleading agent. How can I do that?
Chat agents are the worst. Last horrible experiences with support have both been chat based and both completely lied to me. And no one on this forum can really help outside of a scripted "I'm sorry".
You can't take back surveys. Only that agent's supervisor can fight that and only if it's a fail to dispute.
As for jetpacks, Verizon doesn't really offer high data plans anymore and those still around are laughably priced. Jetpacks on any unlimited data packages will always be capped at 15GB full speed before it throttles. Any bump in unlimited tier only affects cell data and not jetpack data.
