This is the first time that I have posted something to the community on the blog. I hope that I am doing this correctly (and apologize if I am not). I have been with Verizon before that purchased Alltel many years ago. I am so discouraged and disappointed with the customer service that I have received over the past couple of months. It all started with my wife and I having issues with our data plan. I got on the chat to see if there was a better plan for us. The representative I spoke with said that the basic unlimited plan was a better and less expensive option. I would save around $17/month with this plan. And, if I chose to autopay, I could save another $30/month (all this is document in the chat I had with the representative). When the next bill arrived, it was $30 more than my previous bills. I thought that might have something to do with the switch in plans. I gave it another month and, again, it was $30 more per month. I called Verizon to try and straighten it out. Even though they confirmed what was in the chat room, they told me they could not offer me a plan cheaper than I was getting. I did not think that was fair so I complained to the supervisor. That did not good. In fact, I had one Verizon Representative tell me he was switching me back to my other plan and hung up on me before I could respond. Finally, I spoke on the phone to a representative that said they would give me $30/month off the bill for six months. By this time I was exhausted with the whole conversation and agreed to this. The next month, I got my bill and it was again at the higher rate. I got on the chat line to see what was going on. I was told that the representative that promised me that deal did not document it so I was stuck with the higher rate. I have been lied to by at least two customer representatives in this process. I asked the representative to let me talk to her supervisor (on chat). She said she would get the supervisor. I sat for an hour waiting for the supervisor to get on the chat. I finally typed a message into the chat only to find out that I had been disconnected. I am about to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the FEC. But, I felt like I wanted to see if anyone else has had such issues. Thanks for letting me vent.
