This is a real issue that Verizon wants to put a Band-Aid on hopping to pacify customers with terrible service. Been in our new condo a little over a year and everyone in this 283-unit development has the same problem of weak signals, dropped calls and not being able to make calls on their network [Getting No Service Available]. Less than a mile east, west and north of us we get 5 bar 5G service with no issues. I’ve contacted Verizon and worked with their level 2 support tech to get then to do an on-site inspection and all they initially did was tell me that their service in the area was sub optimal and they referred me to one of their video’s that basically said that I should use WiFi calling. After rejecting that suggestion, they offered to send me an LTE Extender at no cost. I installed it and made sure that the antenna was positioned so that I was connected to 11 of 11 satellites to ensure proper GPS positioning. That solution works most of the time but we still have issues with dropped calls and inability to place calls.
The proper solution is to either place another tower near by to increase the 5G coverage to this mile square area. But I’m sure the economics wont work for then. Verizon will just maintain the current status counting on people just complaining and then just accepting the poor service as a fact that they will have to live with.
THEY KNOW HOW TO SELL 5G SERVICE BUT THE TRICK IS TO DELIVER WHAT THEY SELL
I’ve been a Verizon customer for 15+ years and this lack of coverage in this 55 and over community has me thinking about other options. Our cell phones are out primary means of communications especially in emergency situations. We need some help.
I know that our equipment is good as it has been tested. We have 2 iPhone 12’s and WiFi is 100 mb
The service area is Blue Point NY
I have been a Verizon customer for 15 years and the service has never been worse than it is NOW. I barely get 1 bar throught the day and evening. Customer service has informed me that this is due to congestion. Congestion all day and night every day and nignt? This is totally unacceptable. The suggested solution per management at Verizon is that I pay Verizon $40 MORE per month to get at least a 4g LTE service that will still apparently be subject to congestion on the Verizon network. Wow, I am extremely unhappy with Verizon and am for the first time searching for a better company to give my money to. I currently pay Verizon over $115 per month just for the privilage of haveing viturally no cell phone service because any calls made with only 1 or 2 bars of service is full of drop outs. I am going to complane to the Fair Trade Commission, the BBB, my congressperson and whoever else I can think of. This is BAD BISINESS PRACTICE. This trite response to the POOR LTE no 5G signal is ludacris and absurd.
We know having reliable lightning fast service everywhere you go is essential, TigerLily2. To help confirm, how long has this been going on in the area exactly? *Zaak
