I signed up for service last week through the website, specifically in order to qualify for the $60 promotion currently advertised on the prepaid main page. Two days later, I received an email about verifying my identity. I called in and spoke with Stephanie, who advised that the account had somehow been flagged as a business account. She attempted to correct this, but was unable to do so. She advised that I should obtain a sim card locally and call in to activate the phone. I did this the next day, and provided the customer service agent with the original order number and location code. He advised that I would need a temporary phone number until my former provider released my phone number.
Now I've been told that this process completely invalidated the $60 promotion! The chat agent and supervisor advised that they have no option to get this promotion back on my account because the account was set up before the number was ported, instead of the other way around. The promo details don't specify that requirement!
