I purchased a phone last night through the chat function. I was told that an iPhone Pro 256GB would be $18.74/mo for 24 mos based on a $350 discount over 24 mos and a $350 trade-in for my old iPhone X. After I paid tax and upgrade fees upfront, I receive an invoice and an installment agreement that shows full retail price on the phone at $47.91/mo for 24 mos. I have only 14 days to cancel.
I ask for proof of the discounts I agreed to and I'm told that they'll show up on my bill in 1-2 billing cycles. Well that's 30-60 days, much longer than that 14 days I have to cancel. I have no documentation of my discounts other than screenshots of portions of my chat when I made the purchase. I asked for the transcript of the chat and was told the chat ID#'s but not given the transcripts. I was told to just "rest assured" that they have the documentation of the chats on their end, but that they couldn't send them to me. I was also told to "rest assured" that the discounts would show up. They claim that when a conversation ends, you get a pop-up asking if you want the transcript. Well, after multiple chats, none have ended with such a pop-up or option to get the transcript. Why can you have the transcript on your end, but I can't have it on my end?
If you want your customers to "rest assured" of your promises, why can't you just document them? Seems like I'm being scammed by Verizon.
