Promo card on iphone

I’m on payment eight of 24 of my iPhone. When I purchased it there was some kind of promo code where it’s only half the price. It shows $35 for the phone on my bill but then takes off $18 each month for a promo code.  I understand that I leave Verizon now I owe the full price of the phone. However do I owe more on the phone — as eight months I only paid about $18 a month for the promotion for the phone.  Bottom line it says my payoff for the phone is $573. Will it be more if I leave Verizon now?
