Promo expiration

How are we supposed to know when promotions being ran will expire? I have been a Verizon Wireless customer for 8+ years. However, over this time I’ve always been on my parents account. I have recently decided to get on my own plan. I had a promotion advertisement that I couldn’t pass up. So you was picking my phones/data plans. It was a bogo deal, buy one get one free iPhone 12 pro max for new lines.

I am an emergency room nurse so during my checkout process, I got pulled into a patients room. When I came back to finish checking out a few minutes later, the promotion was no longer valid and was removed from my cart. I contacted someone via chat and ended up with “Erica” who was of absolute NO HELP and rude (screen shots saved). I then called the sales department of customer service where the gentleman again, “couldn’t do anything about it” and “has no idea why it would expire mid morning at any given time”. I asked to speak with someone who could answer these questions for me, where I was then put on hold for 22 minutes before hanging up.

what an absolute joke..

Promotions come and go all the time. Verizon doesn't advertise end dates because those can change at any moment. No rep is going to know when it ends, nor their supervisor or their supervisor's supervisor. Only one who knows that information would be the marketing team higher up.

BOGO deals are typically holiday centered so Thanksgiving or Christmas would be the next opportunity then Valentines for next year.
