same question, 5 lines, 3 different texas state sales tax. Also NO ONE at verizon can answer why 3 of my phone lines have an additional Texas Sales Tax, ( about 1.00) in addition to a Texas Sales tax-Telecom.  Why do they have both of them????

Please answer the following questions:

Taxes are subject to change and vary based on different criteria. Do all the lines have the same data plan? Are there device promotion discounts on the lines in question? Do the lines in question have the exact same device?

all have the same data plan. there is an iphone and 2 androids that have the same tax, yet 2 other androids have a different tax rate. The tax in question is the two Texas taxes.

there is an iphone,  galaxy note 9,  galaxy s8,  galaxy s7 and a kyocera. the tax differences are the two texas sales taxes. one phone only has one texas sales tax while the others have both. But, one of these 4 phones has a .50 charge, while the other 3 have a full 1.00. Whyyyyyy?????

Is it possible each line has a different service address associated with it or different phone exchange numbers where a local jurisdiction has mandated additional taxes for each phone number associated with that location?

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

As Ann154 mentioned, all lines of service have a billing address and a service address. This is due to the way taxes are determined for cellular services. Taxes for cellular services are mandated to be determined based on the "primary place of use". The service address is what drives the taxes, and not the billing address. You can learn more about this here, under # 5: https://www.verizon.com/support/change-bill-address-faqs/ EricW_VZW
