vtext.com not working

I can send all email from any one of 4 email addresses that use 4 different email providers. All email goes through EXCEPT the email sent to my phone's vtext.com address.

All of the messages sent to the phone's vtext.com address bounce back with the following:

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of
its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es)
failed:

[email address removed per the Verizon Terms of Service]:
SMTP error from remote server for GREETING command, host: vrz-sms.mx.a.cloudfilter.net (34.199.121.51) reason: 554 vrz-ibgw-5003a.ext.cloudfilter.net cmsmtp ESMTP server not available -

We do not support vtext services any longer. You would need to use an alternative service or use Message Plus. TaylorH_VZW

When did this service stop? Why didn't you let us know?

We use it for emergency messages when we are not near email for our family and business contacts - rarely, but we always thought it would work!

Other CURRENT threads have @vzw_customer_support response saying there is a KNOWN ISSUE with vtext and vzwpix services from Google Mail and it is being worked on.  The service works from Comcast Mail, Yahoo Mail and others, only Google Mail is failing.  Look at current threads instead of YEARS old threads.

Exactly!!  It is crucial for our organization and they pull the plug and don't tell anyone.  Very poor customer service!

Nobody 'pulled the plug'.  This is ONLY a recent Google Mail to vtext.com/vzwpix.com issue as noted it other CURRENT threads.  Other Mail services work fine to vtext.com and vzwpix.com, e.g. Comcast Mail, Yahoo Mail, etc.

The problem is with Verizon SMS service, however - it's not with Google.

Reading the response from the server shows this to be so, as it says:
