Verizon has it's roll over data all wrong. This is data we paid for, so when the next billing cycle comes along, it's the first thing that should get used up instead of my regular data. Am I the only one thinking this should be the right way to do this???
Ex:
Plan 16 GB
Roll over data 4GB
Verizon's way
Use 17 GB
Roll over data is 0GB as you used all your 16GB and 1GB of the roll over data
My way
Use 17GB
Use 4GB of roll over data and use 13GB of monthly data
Roll over data is 3GB for next month.
That's the right way to do this. Verizon, get your act together and stop screwing people over with data!
That would be one way to do it and would be more advantageous to you. However the way Verizon has chosen to institute carryover data is better than before you had carryover data.
You have displayed one way for carryover data to work. Verizon has chosen for it to work another way. Neither way the "right" way or the "wrong" way for it to work, simply "different" ways.
The bottom line is that carryover data is designed by Verizon to help you out with the "occasional" time you use more data than your allowance. If you only use more data than your allowance "occasionally", then only "occasionally" will you not have any carryover data to use the following month if needed. If you routinely go over your data allowance, carryover data would not work for you REGARDLESS of how Verizon had designed it to work.
AT&T has the exact same rollover data policy and they came up with the policy before Verizon Wireless. In fact Verizon Wireless basically copied the AT&T policy.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
We value your feedback, as this is how we make decisions on plans and equipment, Igariepy. We will definitely forward your feedback for review. At this time, the carryover data will be used after your plan data and is carried over for one bill cycle. You can learn more about carryover data here, http://spr.ly/658283DcO. Was there anything else we can assist you with today?
