Same question I asked. This seems to be a Verizon ploy to sell you more features. If Verizon can't resolve this and stop email addresses from spamming me, then I guess I will have to switch carriers. This is ridiculous! I get porn texts from gmail addresses every single day all hours of the day and night.
I honest believe this is a Verizon Data Breach they are covering up. I am getting 30+ a day. Plus my elderly parents and children as well. We never had this once with my former provider. 2 days after moving to Verizon, this started. Looks like time to contact my legal help to drop these contracts and move one.

I'm having the same issue. I get several such spam messages everyday and it is from a different email address each time. Does Verizon support expect us to do this blocking per message several times throughout the day and everyday? Don't you have an easier option that actually works that helps your customers from spam? This is ridiculous.

I think that’s exactly it. I found it strange that disabling emails to sms is not an option any longer. Also believe it’s to generate business because up until about three weeks ago my husband and I never got those types of messages. All of a sudden they start coming in and won’t stop. Honestly makes me reconsider staying as a customer and going to another carrier.
I guess I had been lucky that I had only been getting these spam texts from emails once a week and got fed up today having received three in one day. Frustrating to see this had been a long standing issue with no reasonable solution provided. I'm not looking forward to these messages becoming more frequent.
I am so angry, mad, frustrated, etc. with this mess. Coming here and reading that so many others are going through this and apparently Verizon has NO CLUE what to do or they just don’t want to fix the problem has me biting my tongue from saying what I really want to say here.
I have tried it all. Every option they have given does not work. On the website, under Blocking, I have checked those two little boxes that SHOULD be the answer, 500 times and when I go back in, they are unchecked. Every. Single. Time.
Verizon, you FAIL. This is not acceptable. I am sick of blocking these obscene messages over and over. And my child is getting them too.
FIX THIS ISSUE AND DO NOT COME AT ME WITH SOME LAME ATTEMPT TO REPEAT THINGS THAT DO NOT WORK. FIX IT OR YOU WILL BE LOSING LONG-TIME CUSTOMERS!!!
