HighDrive, in working with the Apple Experts:
1. You should have the option in the info section to block the email. If not, you can save the email address as a contact, and then block it. This article will help for either option: Block phone numbers and contacts on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
2. You can also just hide alerts from this email. This article talks about this in the section titled "Turn on Hide alerts" Use Messages on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

I'm not seeing any solution here to stopping unwanted spam text messages that are received from constantly changing email addresses. Is there no way to simply block text messages from email addresses altogether or send all such text messages to a spam folder?
scottwyman954, we are here to assist with all the available options for unwanted messages. There is a way to block all email addresses. Please click on the following web page https://www.verizon.com/support/block-unblock-services-faqs/ and refer to number 1. Does this help?
My wife and I (different Verizon phone numbers) simultaneously receive these unwanted texts from eamil addresses (different sender each time) at all times of the day and night! There is no way to block them in the text and there are too many to transfer to contacts and then block. We use our phones for business purposes so there I am not changing phone numbers! if I do believe me I will change carriers! This has got to stop. There has to be a way to block this B.S.!!!!!!!!!!
I totally agree that this would be a good option, blocking all text messages sent to my email account. can't deal with sex advertisements on my phone - I have plenty of other concerns in my day, without this garbage piled on top.
If Verizon cannot provide an option to block all SMS messaging, I will be looking for another provider soon.
