When trying to add an account manager using the verizonwireless.com website, a message popped up after I entered the information:
"Due to recent changes to your account we are not able to complete this transaction at this time. If you need additional assistance, please contact 800-922-0804."
I called the number and it turned out to be a robo-scam. Voice said if anyone in household is over 60, press 1. Then an automated voice said "Medical Alert Center, can you hear me okay?" I know this is a scam.
The correct Verizon number is 922-0204. So, I wonder - is a Verizon employee involved in the scam? Think about it. Only someone within the organization could provide a link to this message and type the incorrect phone number to show up on the web page!!
I'm very concerned about this. Apparently you can get scammed from within a known "safe" website. Please address this!!!!
