recently my phone updated, and my hotspot stopped working, a call to support resulted in them changing my data plan from my grandfathered in unlimited to one of the new useless 4gb plans. even after i was very clear that they were not to touch or change my plan or any services and leave them as they have been since 2011. After talking to 3 people on the phone and 2 in chat yesterday trying to confirm they haven't messed anything up and them assuring me that they hadn't changed anything, i get emails and documents in my account confirming that they did change it and loose my plan. After another couple hours in chat with them and them still saying they hadn't changed it i finally go the person on the other end of the chat to admit that they did indeed remove my grandfathered plan that I VERY CLEARLY stated should not be touched, to the 4gb data plan, and after even more wasted time chatting with them they would not change it back tried to tell me they couldn't wouldn't escalate the issue to anyone that could couldn't give me any contact info to anyone that could, and just kept telling me to call the same people that messed it up in the first place on the phone support line. I know from reading other post here that Verizon watches and replies to these posts, and i know that I'm not the only person they have tried to strip of their grandfathered in plan. So i need a competent Verizon representative to reach out here and get this sorted, my plan should never have been changed nor should any features without my consent and it needs to be restored to the plan that it has been for the last decade!
So after many more calls and chats, and unanswered DMs both here and on Facebook when Verizon replied asking me to get in touch it seems my plan is going back to what it was, and now i'm back to square one with my hotspot not working anymore so here we go for round 2, it'd be amazing if when they ask you to reach out in a DM they actually bothered to reply to that message.
